Havannah
Games and Puzzles (magazine)
Havannah is a connection game (Hex, Twixt, etc.) with several interesting twists. The board is a hexagonal grid shaped in the form of a hexagon--8 hexes per side. (Expert players prefer larger 10 per side boards.) Each player places a stone of his color on the board attempting to form one of three possible winning positions: - Fork: Continuously connect any 3 sides (note: the corners do NOT count as a side space. - Bridge: Continuously connect any 2 corners. - Ring: Form a continuous closed loop of pieces with at least one cell in the middle (the cell may be unoccupied or occupied by either player's piece).
