At the start on each hand, a bidding phase proceeds around the table twice; on one of your two bidding turns you must declare how many tricks you will win and on the other you must declare what is trump for tricks you lead.\n\nThe possible trump declarations are related to suit or rank, and there are limits on how many times a certain declaration can be made.\n\nAfter bidding, the players play out their hand of cards in a traditional must-follow trick-taking game, with the trump \"suit\" changing based upon who is leading the trick.\n\nPlayers score points for hitting their bid, and lose points for missing their bid.
